About Us

We are a family who practice together.

Between us we have a wealth of diverse personal and professional experience. Ranging from Brendon's experience as an elite athlete,  corporate lives, nursing and our lived experiences which culminated in the realisation of our goal to join forces in the therapeutic space.

Experiencing success as individuals providing therapy but are now able to offer something special when we team up for anxiety interventions and much, much more.

We work well together, our skills complement each other as we provide a connected, comfortable, safe space which means you can achieve the outcomes that you are seeking in the shortest possible times.

We believe in brief, client focused interventions because we know you have suffered for long enough and you have some catching up to do.

We are passionate and committed to release you from the struggle with anxiety.

Not all Therapists are members of professional bodies.

Our choice to maintain professional memberships is demonstration of our commitment to you our clients.

We believe this commitment is an important point of difference.

Anxiety is our focus

It was an easy decision to choose to focus on anxiety. The awareness has raised but so has the percentage of population suffering with an anxiety disorder.

Anxiety is the most common mental health condition in Australia. On average, 1 in 4 people – 1 in 3 women and 1 in 5 men – will experience anxiety.

Australian Bureau of Statistics. (2008). National Survey of Mental Health and Wellbeing: Summary of Results, 2007. Cat. no. (4326.0). Canberra: ABS.

In a 12-month period, over two million Australians experience anxiety

Every year in Australia, approximately 14 per cent of the population (1 in 7) experiences an anxiety disorder and 2.7 per cent experiences General Anxiety Disorder (GAD). Nearly 6 per cent of the population will experience GAD in their lifetime.

The truth is it is not anxiety which is the problem - anxiety in normal ranges serves a purpose and impacts positively on our quality of life. When anxiety becomes an issue is when we our safety behaviours get in the way of living the life that we want.

What we do works because it is a unique blend of counselling, psychotherapy and clinical hypnotherapy performed in a setting which you feel the most comfortable and safe in.  We offer sessions in your home, in our office and online sessions are also an option. You didn't choose to have anxiety but you can certainly choose what environment you will take back control!

We know that in this economic climate self help can be seen as a luxury not an essential expense and many of you would have been trying to "tough it out" for years.

Mental health is not always obvious and can to a point be easier to hide (or that is what we tell ourselves) however the impacts are equal to any other health issue.

In fact if you are suffering from an untreated mental health issue it is likely that you are developing physical health issues as well.

That is why we focus on brief solution focused interventions because we want your answer to be affordable and accessible.

Minimising the time with us minimises the financial outlay for you.

We are not privy to the demands on your budget but before you decide against getting help we ask you to consider the following -

  • How many special moments have you missed out on?

  • How much are you spending on self-medicating?

  • What would you do when you are finally free from anxiety?

We also know that you will have questions, concerns and fears.

It is only natural so you can drop us an email with you number and we can give you a call.

No obligation, no pressure and no charge simply an opportunity to explore if we are the Therapists for you.
